Great Shelford Parish Council would like to thank the 200+ local residents who attended the Christmas fair and Illuminations switch on at the Memorial Hall on Saturday December 2nd.
The event raised a total of £773 for the Village Playscape Project.
Carols were sung by Shelford School KS2 children, led by Mrs Jenkins and introduced by Revd Simon Talbott, Priest in charge of St Mary the Virgin,Great Shelford. The Illuminations were then switched on by Head Girl, Elizabeth Cousins and Head Boy Daniel Lockey.
Villagers enjoyed a visit from Santa, nativity photo booth, stalls in the Memorial hall, hot dogs, mince pies and mulled wine dispensed by Playscape with the City of Cambridge Brass Band playing Christmas carols.
