After months of the ground being too soft to get a vehicle to the river to carry out repairs, today our Ranger, along with Brookfield Groundcare have managed to refill and make safe, the riverbank steps.
To stop the stones being relocated to the river…Great Shelford Parish Council commissioned some anti-slip grids to be placed over new stones (some 1.75 tonnes of them) which have been fixed to the step frames.
Please note the two end steps need a lick of paint on the edge of the top step as the difference in height is quite small and not particularly easy to see – at the moment. Until the paint is on, hopefully in the next couple of days, please be careful.
