Linton Greenway Active Travel Path – Carriageway Resurfacing at Hinton Way Roundabout
The Greater Cambridge Partnership and contractors Milestone Infrastructure have completed the improvement works to the Linton Greenway from Hinton Way Roundabout to the Babraham Road Park and Ride Junction, including the commissioning of the new traffic light installation at the Babraham Road Park and Ride Junction.
Resurfacing works – road closure and diversion route
As part of the improvement works at this location following on from the completion of the Greenway improvement works overnight works will be undertaken to resurface the A1307 carriageway approaches to the Hinton Way Roundabout, the roundabout, and the tie in links to Hinton Way and Cherry Hinton Road.
To ensure the resurfacing and associated road marking works can be completed, the A1307, Hinton Way and the Cherry Hinton Road adjacent to the Hinton Way Roundabout will be closed overnight (8pm to 6am) for six nights from Thursday May 26th to Tuesday May 31st.
The closure is required to enable the resurfacing and associated road markings to be carried out safely and efficiently, whilst an overnight closure minimises disruption to traffic.
Access to properties, for emergency services, buses and active travel path users will be maintained throughout.
An official diversion route will be signposted via A1307 – A11 – A505 – A1301 Sawston to Great Shelford – Trumpington – A1134 Long Road.
We do apologise for any inconvenience these works and closures may cause. We are working closely with our contractors to minimise disruption.
