A big thank you to all of you who ventured out in the ‘mizzle’ yesterday. We know it was a very low key event (knowing that you will be partying your socks off during the Feast) but you came out in your hundreds, donning wellies, brollies and waterproofs and had a lovely time.

Some managed to have a picnic in the middle of the Recreation Ground, children completed our Jubilee Trail (still up if you want to have a look), painted Woollards Lane all colours of the rainbow and played to their hearts’ content on the Playscape.

Our tea, coffee and cake was a roaring success with £323.12 raised in cash donations (waiting to hear of the online donations) which will be evenly split between the SSYI and OASISS.

But before I leave you, I wanted to say a big thank you to my colleagues from the WI, Shelford Free Church, the Feast, SSYI, Playscape and Twinning Association as without their help, yesterday would not have happened. If I have forgotten anyone…sorry.
