Update: M11 junction 9 – bridge repairs
I’m writing to update you as we continue our work to replace the expansion joints, re-waterproof and resurface the M11 Jct 9 overbridge. This work will ensure the bridge continues to remain in a safe and serviceable condition.
We plan to carry out further work over 3 nights between Friday 19 August and Monday 22 August. Work will be carried out overnight between 9pm and 5am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the M11 between junctions 9 and 10, northbound only, and divert traffic as detailed below:
• Northbound traffic will be diverted onto the A11, A1307 and the A505, before re-joining the M11 at junction 10.
The 50mph speed restriction remains in place on the junction 9 overbridge.
