Great Shelford Parish Council wish to celebrate the contributions of the unsung heroes from our village. The awards are designed to recognise the difference residents have made to members of our community. The awards have been revamped slightly for 2023 with three awards as follows:
Young Person (under 18 years of age)
Anyone under 18 years of age who has overcome personal difficulty or made a stand to improve their life or the lives of others.
Just some examples may be coping with bereavement, bullying, disability or medical conditions, or someone who has supported others who face such problems.
Good Neighbour (was unsung hero)
Celebrating that neighbour who is one in a million. A resident who is a true gem and though an ordinary person, you simply could not manage without them.
Outstanding Contribution – could be an individual, group or organisation
Any individual, group or organisation you feel has demonstrated that they have improved the environment, the community or social wellbeing within the village.
Once again, we must say a massive thank you to Redmayne, Arnold and Harris who have agreed to kindly sponsor the awards for 2023.
Winners will be announced at the Village Meeting on 8th March 2023.
To nominate someone, a group or organisation you feel is deserving of some recognition, please complete the form below by Monday 30th January 2023.
Nomination forms can also be downloaded from here and either emailed to clerk@greatshelfordparishcouncil.gov.uk or dropped into the post box at the Memorial Hall (by the kitchen door) or alternatively, dropped into the offices at Redmayne, Arnold and Harris in Woollards Lane.
