The best way to find out what’s important to our community is to talk to people.  That’s how our Steering Group will discover what we like and dislike about our area and how the community would like it to develop in the coming years.

So, there will be lots of opportunities for you to share your opinions.  The information we get from talking to local people will help build the evidence base for the Neighbourhood Plan.

We’ll tell you more about timings later but the whole process takes 2-3 years to complete.

If successful, our NP will become part of the Greater Cambridge Local Plan and have legal force for the benefit of our community.

Please get involved

If you live or work in Stapleford or Great Shelford, we’d love you to get involved in shaping the place where we live.

There are two ways you can do this:

  • Have your say – as a contributor
  • Activate your community – as a co-ordinator.

  • Act as a point of contact for specific groups – could be schools, clubs, networks
  • Help get the word out about the NP – via email, social media or word of mouth
  • Volunteer at events or on webinars
  • Encourage people to complete surveys or attend events
